Network+ Certification
Already recognized by companies from the largest corporations to the smallest start-ups, Network+ will soon be an essential requirement for network professionals.
Network+ is an international credential sponsored by CompTIA that validates the knowledge of networking professionals with 18-24 months of experience in the IT industry. A typical candidate would have A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge, but A+ is not a requirement. Network+ is an accepted baseline, vendor-neutral certification for networking professionals, which can also serve as a prerequisite to vendor-specific IT certifications. Earning the Network+ certification means that the candidate possesses the knowledge needed to configure and install the TCP/IP client. This exam covers a wide range of vendor and product neutral networking technologies.
The skills and knowledge measured by this exam are derived from industry-wide job task analysis and validated through an industry wide survey. The objectives are in two distinct groups: Knowledge of Networking Technology and Knowledge of Networking Practices. The exam consists of 65 questions and a maximum allowable time of 90 minutes.
