You may use one of our phones in the facility. Please ask your instructor or a Momentum-Netdesk employee to bring you to our conference room.
To make a call, lift the receiver, dial "9", then the number. Long distance calls are restricted (if you need to make a long distance call, your Account Manager will be happy to arrange it).
Your office or family can leave you a message while you're in class by calling (504)-523-5111. Messages will be posted on the door to your classroom.
Cell Phones: Feel free to use your cell phone while you are here, but please respect your classmates by stepping out of the classroom to take your calls. And, please respect the Momentum-Netdesk staff by not taking your call in their offices without checking first. If you need privacy for a phone call, we'll be happy to arrange - talk to your Account Manager.
We invite you to check your e-mail or browse the Internet during breaks and lunch. Please respond to e-mails at appropriate times - lots of keyboard entry is distracting to your classmates.
Momentum-Netdesk provides Internet access as a convenience - please help us by following these guidelines:
- Do not surf sites that contain potentially offensive material.
- Respond to e-mails only on breaks or lunch - lots of keyboard entry is distracting to your classmates.
- Please try to limit your surfing to breaks or lunch. We have a lot of material to cover over the next few days. Staying focused on the material and the instructor is key to staying on schedule and to a positive learning environment for all students.
